Visible Image Stamps, Distress inks, Inktense Pencils on a Card.

Hi there to all my friends and fellow crafters out in Bloggy land,
and a big warm Welcome and thank you to my New Followers.

I know it's a bit early, but I felt the need to make something spooky, and when I saw the fab 'Max Rocks' and 'Molly Rules' sets of stamps from
I knew they were perfect for what I wanted to do, lol.

These stamps would be great for children to colour in and create with, they  could make their own Halloween cards or invitations.

Molly and Max were stamped onto a piece of card, and coloured using Inktense watercolour pencils, and fussy cut.
I stamped out a load of Molly's skulls in black, to make the lanterns, coloured them with distress ink, and also fussy cut them.
It was fun building a wall using Max's brick stamp,
(I did this on a separate piece of card, cut it out, so I could attach it exactly where I wanted).
I stamped and heat embossed the lock and key in silver, and fussy cut.
I created a field of Max's skulls, and used Molly's barbed wire for the stems.
The background was achieved with Distress inks, adding the trees and bats,
(I borrowed them both from 'Edward is Immortal' another fab set for Halloween)
Made a string for the lanterns, again using the barbed wire from Moll's set, and attached the little yellow skulls.
Using Black Archival (because it is soooo black, lol) I stamped the chain across the skull field, and then attached the wall, popped on Molly and Max, added a skull to poor teddy, stamped both sentiments onto shrink plastic, (I do love this stuff), and added some shading around the edges.

I used a glitter pen and glossy accents for finishing the touches.

Tim Holtz Tag Journal

Hello again all,

Well you may remember that I attended a Tim Holtz class last month, at Coventry. We made a Tag Journal, well I've been merrily stamping away and finding embellishments, and I've sort of finished it, although I have left spaces under tabs to add things, if I feel the need, but of course I can add more tags too if I wanted to make it bigger.

The class was fantastic, we learnt lots of techniques, form the
Master of inking, it was a great day.

Here are my piccy's........

As you can see, I have added quite a bit of red. Whilst in the class, we used either 'Vintage Photo' or ' Walnut Stain', but of course, you know me, I love colour so when I got home I added 'Barn Door' to mine to make it unique !!!!

This was the view from my seat, I was very happy to sit at the front, lol !!!

And this was meeting the man himself, he is a lovely person, a fab teacher, and is always smiling. Not a good one of me I'm afraid !!!!

The double whammy was also meeting the very talented and also lovely Dyan Reaveley, who was there too...

A much better piccy of me, lol !!!!

Well I hope you enjoy looking at my little journal, it was so much fun to make, and I know have a great selection of Tim's bits and pieces, that I bought from the show.

Thanks for dropping in,
see you soon, hugs, Pauline xxxx

Visible Image Stamps, Dylusion Ink, Distress Inks & Ranger Sticky backed Canvas, on a card

Hi everyone,
I hope you are keeping warm in this freak winter, we seem to be having,
but I'm still wearing my flip-flops, in the hope that we will still have
a late Indian Summer, lol !!!

Well it's Friday again, and my turn to share a project, that I created using some fantastic

The other day I found some sticky backed Canvas ATC blanks, in the back of a drawer, so decided I must use them in some way, so brain power on.......

I took 4, and stuck them to a piece of card,
then stamped them using a Versamark pad and the
When they were dry, I brushed mica powder over, it made them lovely and blingy, I then sprayed them with Dylusion inks, and left to dry, yummy.
Next I used a flower die with my Big Shot, and cut out the canvas, making sure I left enough to stamp out the Butterfly, and then cut that out too.

I made an easel card, and created the base using Grunge Check Background,
with Distress Ink and stamped Tall Grass on it, again using Distress ink.
The flowers and Butterfly were added with silicone gel, gave the butterfly the Stickles treatment, and added some gems !!!.

I stamped the lovely Butterfly Sentiment onto a piece of the same background and added some ribbon and gems to finish it off.
Unfortunately my photo's don't show the bling of the mica powder on the flowers very well !!

Visible Image Stamps, Distress ink, Alcohol Inks, Indigo Blu Stamp, Tim Holtz, Papermania Stamp on a Man's card.

Hi there,

A quick share of a card I made for a friends Birthday.

I've had some metal sheets hanging around for ages, so I decided to use one. I randomly spotted some alcohol inks over the metal, left it to dry, then popped it into an embossing folder.

Next I looked through my vast supply of stamps and came up with the
'Time after Time' set from 'Visible Image',
I thought the sentiment fitted perfectly, I made a background with the numbers from the same set, and also used the pocket watch.
I used some other stamps, cut out the images, and to finish off I added  bits and pieces from my stash.

Thanks for visiting, and please leave me a comment, I'd love to know what you think.

Till next time, hugs, Pauline xxxx

Visible Image Stamps, Distress Inks, Imagination Crafts Mica Powders, Glossy Accents on a card.

Hello again friends and fellow bloggeee's
and to my New Followers, a very warm welcome to you.

I can't believe another week has gone by, I've been very busy crafting, but unfortunately I can't share them with you yet, so watch this space, lol.

Although I can share my newest make for
which is an 8"x 8" male themed card, and for this one I used the fabulous
Free Your Imagination set of stamps,

I find this set very versatile, it can be used in so many different ways.
For this background I used the sentiment, stamped it in Versamark, and heat embossed with clear powder, then with three different colours of Distress Inks, I graduated them across the card from light to dark, whilst they were still wet, I stamped the ink blot using just water, to give a bleached out effect.

Once the background had dried, I used Black Archival and stamped the inky eagle, the birds and the ink blots.
To give more definition to the eagle, I gave him a coat of glossy accents, also the blots.

The feathers were stamped in versamark onto black glossy card, when they was dry, I gently brushed mica powder over them, using three different colours. I coated them with glossy accents to seal in the mica, and left them to dry before cutting them out and shaping them, I also added a touch of Treasure gold to the edges  to give a little extra umph, lol.
I was quite pleased with the metallic look.

The card was then finished off with the sentiment, stamped onto shrink plastic.

Don't forget to join the Visible Image Face Book page HERE.
Check out the Visible Image Blog HERE.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress inks, Wow clear embossing powder and Stickles.

Hello crafty friends,

I'd like to share with you today, my very first Christmas card of the year,
it's very early for me, as I don't usually start making them until at least November, and then I moan that I've left it too late.......again, lol.

Well anyway, I received this great Christmas stamp from Visible Image, and felt the need to use it straight away !!!!

The stamp is called 'Christmas Collage',
it's just one stamp, great if you have loads of festive cards to make.
I chose to stamp it on white card three times using Distress Inks, in Vintage Photo, Chipped Sapphire and Bard Door and I heat embossed them all with clear powder.
I left the brown layer whole, and gently distressed it all to give a vintage look.

The blue layer was cut around the Christmas tree square, adding the Dec 25th scroll on it too. This was given the stickles treatment, well there has to be some bling !!!

The last layer is the red, cutting out the Dec 25th scroll, and the words 'Merry Christmas', these were distressed around the edges with Vintage Photo.
All the layers were then put together using silicone gel, to give it a touch of dimension.

A very simple 6"x 6" vintage inspired card, but I hope you'll agree,
 quite effective.

Take a look at all the Christmas stamps at Visible Image and of course the rest of their range, there are some new Snowflakes, which I am looking forward to playing with.

Lavinia stamps, Challenge 7 - Add a Flower, DT samples using Distress inks & Distress Stains,

Hi there,
It's the start of a new Challenge over at
The theme for September is, 'Add a Flower', you have the chance of winning a whopping £40 to spend in the Lavinia Shop..
Pop over and have a look at the DT inspiration, and start thinking about what you can create for your entry, below are my 3 projects.

1. A 6 1/2"x 3" Tag.

The background was created with Distress inks and Frantage, I stamped the words 'Dreams & Delights' and the 'Chinese Lanterns' in black Archival, onto a separate piece of card, coloured and cut out, Frantage was added to the words, and stickles to the Lanterns. I made a flower from some odd pieces of patterned paper, which I coloured to match.

2. An 8"x 8" card.

The background was made by splodging Distress Stains, and Distress Paints, and then spritzing with water and brushing it around. When it was dry, I went over with Distress inks, to make the detail.

I then stamped on to the background, the fairies 'Dancing till Dawn', the 'Willow' (upside down!!), and the 'Bullrushes', in Archival ink. The reflection was made using my Splodgeaway mat and Memento, Black Tuxedo.

After lightening the water with more Distress inks and water, I stamped the 'Lily pads' again in Archival, I then added some punched flowers to give a bit of dimension, Stickles, and a glitter pen was the finishing touch.

3. A 5"x 5" card.
This is a very simple technique, I stamped the words 'Fairy Words', in Versamark and heat embossed with clear powder, I then chose 2 Distress inks, and gently coloured from dark to light.

Again using the same 2 colours of inks, I stamped the 'Dandelions over the top and heat dried, and then added a ribbon and a flower.

All the stamps I have used are from Lavinia Stamps.

There is a Facebook group too, please visit and like Lavinia Stamps Facebook

I hope you like my 3 creations, and that it has inspired you to have a go at the Challenge yourselves,  HERE.

Thank you for visiting, and also for your fab comments.

See you soon, hugs Pauline xxx
